Shahi Khan Sherani, born on January 1st, 1970, is a Pakistani Politician currently Serving as Vice President of the Awami National Party Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Shahi Khan Sherani got his early education from Darazinda, Dera Ismail Khan. He completed his Secondary School Certificate and Intermediate from the Cadet College Kohat. He earned the Civil Engineering Degree from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore in 1997.
Shahi Khan Sherani started his political career from the student’s wing of the Awami National Party, Pakhtun Students Federation (PSF), as a worker in 1990. He was elected as Deputy General Secretary of the PSF Government Degree College Dera Ismail Khan. He was then elected as President of PSF UET Lahore in 1992. Mr. Sherani was elected as President of Pakhtun Students Federation Punjab in 1995. He served as a Provincial President of the PSF for two years. After completion of his degree, he then moved back to his hometown.
He joined Awami National Party as a worker in 1997 from his hometown Darazinda Dera Ismail Khan. He was given the responsibility of the President ANP FR DI Khan (the then Federally Administered Tribal area) in 2002. Shahi Khan Sherani remained President FR DI Khan till 2018. He was then elected as Provincial Vice President of the Awami National Party Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2019. He is currently serving on the same seat, and also holds the Chairmanship of the Provincial Election Commission. He is also a member of the Provincial Parliamentary Board of the Awami National Party. Mr. Sherani is also a member of the Central Working Committee of the ANP.
Shahi Khan Sherani remained an active part of the electoral politics under the umbrella of the Awami National Party and contested twice for the National Assembly from NA-47 and NA-51.
