Charesadda: Awami National Party’s leader Asfandyar Wali Khan has warned political forces to avoid polarisation in order to steer the country out of the present crises. Addressing members of the party’s provincial and central organizing committees in Wali Bagh, Asfandyar Wali Khan asked the government to take the Parliament in confidence about the evolving political situation in the region in the aftermath of general elections in Iran, India and Afghanistan. The meeting with members of the Organising Committees was presided over by Ms. Bushra Gohar, Acting President of the Party’s Central Organizing Committee.
Asfandyar Wali Khan expressed concern over the widening gulf between the State institutions as any further escalation in the situation can undermine the democratic system. ANP’s leader dubbed the one year performance of the present government disappointing as it has failed to provide relief to masses. People are suffering under the impact of growing load shedding, price hike ande deteriorating law and order. Situation is particularly dismal in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is a change for the worse if there is any change at all. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has failed utterly in protecting the life and propertyof the people of the Province.
Asfandyar Wali Khan paid rich tributes to the sacrifices of the valiant workers of ANP. He said followers of Bacha Khan have weathered many storms and they will continue their struggle against all odds. He called on ANP workers to continue with their heroic political struggle for peace and prosperity. However, in doing so they must take necessary precautions for their security. The meeting took stock of the organisational situation of the party and decided to complete party elections upto Provincial level before the commencement of the holy month of Ramzan.
