Peshawar: Awami National Party Pakhtunkhwa expressed satisfaction over the
performance of provincial government and lauded its struggle against militancy
and efforts to get provincial rights.
A meeting of the provincial cabinet of the party and president and
secretaries of the districts was held at the Chief Minister secretariat on Tuesday.
Minister Information Mian Iftikhar Hussain, ANP provincial Senior Vice
President Baaz Mohammad Khan, Secretary General Tajuddin Khan, Deputy S.G
Mukhtiar Khan, Information Sec. Arbab Mohammad Tahir Khan, Cultural Sec.
Hameedur Rahman Mohammadzai and other senior leaders were present on the occasion.
The party appreciated the provincial government’s efforts in getting RS.110
billion arrears from the federal government under the head of power royalty, the
development works in the province and fight against militancy.
The Chief Minister said that the party leaders, parliamentarians and workers
rendered unmatchable sacrifices in the fight against extremism. He said the
sacrifices of the martyrs would not go waste and war would continue till the
elimination of all terrorists.
Pointing towards the successful achievement of National Finance Commission (NFC)
award, Hoti said that the provinces share was increased in the award, which
would help end a sense of deprivation among the smaller provinces.
