Peshawar: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said
that terrorism has seriously harmed people, infra structure and economy of
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that last year flooding has further increased
sufferings of the government and the people, however, due to collective efforts
and successful strategy of elected government, the economy of the province has
improved and it is also successful in realizing promises made with the people.
He said that mega projects and welfare development schemes in different
districts including Peshawar is the evidence of this fact. He said that
development and construction process is in full swing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
despite untoward circumstances. He was talking to MPAs during his weekly
meetings at his office on Thursday. Provincial ministers and MPAs hailing from
different political parties met the chief minister on the occasion.
The CM said that ADP has increased by 80 % for the first time in the history of
the province and work on projects under available net hydel profit in Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa for controlling national energy crisis will commence this year. He
said that profit from oil and gas will create pleasant changes in southern
districts, added, government special initiatives for eradication of poverty,
unemployment and illiteracy will yield long lasting results. He said that these
special initiatives have pull off wide public acceptance and there is no room
for politics in it.
The CM said that his government is providing development funds to entire
provincial constituencies regardless of political affiliations. He said that
being people representatives, it is our responsibility to provide life basic
needs to people at their doorstep. He said that remarkable successes have been
achieved in a short span of three and a half year and this journey towards
development will continue. He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a step ahead in
provision of second installment of compensation to flood affectees. He said that
collective efforts will be ensured onward in struggle for protection to people
rights and solution to provincial issues. He stressed the MPAs to play their
role in extending fruits of government’s successes to the people. The MPAs
apprised the chief minister of work on development schemes in their respective
constituencies. Provincial Minister Qalb Abbas thanked the chief minister on
resumption of private vehicles traffic on old Khushal Garh Bridge.
