PESHAWAR: Senior Minister and Parliamentary Leader of ANP in provincial
assembly, Bashir Ahmad Bilour, Minister for Information and Transport Mian
Iftikhar Hussain, Minister for Sports, Culture and Tourism, Syed Aqil Shah and
Vice President of ANP and President Peshawar High Court Bar Association (PHCBA)
Abdul Latif Afridi here on Tuesday visited Afghan Consulate and expressed their
deep sense of sorrow and concern over the abduction of Afghan Ambassador
designate to Pakistan Abdul Khaliq Farahi by unknown militants and the killing
of his driver.

Talking with Afghan Consulate’s officials, leaders assured them that ANP and its
Provincial Government would take practical measures for safe recovery of the
Afghan Ambassador-designate to Pakistan and the abductors would be arrested and
awarded exemplary punishment.

They said that the incident was a bid to sabotage the relations between the two
neighbourly countries.

The ministers made it clear that provincial government would take measures to
tighten security of other diplomats working in the Afghan Consulate Peshawar.

They prayed for the departed soul of the deceased driver Khalid and offered
fateha.
